Light rain the night before settled the dust and made for an enjoyable ride.
The 40 km point is marked with a short stop at the dam before heading over the coastal forest dune down to the beach.
A stop at out favourite "braai spot" for a refreshment and a few pic's before heading on to the wreck of Jolly Rubino.
Arriving just in time for a lunch and a short break. Some ideas of a future, 2x day, over-night trip were discussed. No details of the date yet, but some how I think it's going to be sooner than we think...
The route home took us past a river crossing. This was a first for Shelley and Michael. With the water over the top of the tyres in sections, it had them excited. This section will be a definite inclusion on the next return trip.
The group of four made it back without incident, arriving at 14h30 in Alton.
Average speed 30km/h.
Moving time 4hr10min.
Total distance covered, 131km.
The Kymco 300, Masai 450 and the Kodiak 400, made it there and back on one tank of fuel.

It was a good ride with great company, pity you could not report on how light my Gas Gas was on juice - because it wasn't, 2 tanks full and some borrowed fuel! What would us 2 stroke bike riders do without your utilities to help carry our extra fuel! Thanks Mitch, Shelley and Mike, looking forward to the next one! M.A.D.
